Tuwabu! Tuwabu! Tuwabu!

after having been "Muzungu" in Kenia and "Faranji" in Ethiopia, we are now "Tuwabu"... that means "white skin" in dioula and that is what the children are always happily screaming when we are crossing and sometimes they are running after us, waiting for a reaction...sometimes we can scare them because some of them are still scared of white people! 

"ani sogoma" means hello, and that's at least all we know until now, but we don't really use it because there is no real official language beside french. the people are speaking nearly 60 different languages in Burkina, the most spoken is "Moré" and "Dioula" .

Last weekend we spent two real african days in Nouna, another small city close to DDG with original Balafon-music and "dolo", the traditional beer, while pilgering from so called "cabaret"  to cabaret(something like a bar) and being invited to drink dolo, all the time, and not only a bit, and it is unpolite to say "no thanks I have enough!"!! well, it was quite funny and we could dance to the naturalistic sound of the "balafon"...

At the moment we are having our hair made in african style...and we brought some african tissues to a dressmaker  to have a real "bubu"...we will see...
