Dedougou
Since more than one week we are now in Dedougou. A friend (Leopold) of a friend(David) of a friend (Abu) friendly arranged a small house for us, in a lonesome field in the peripherie of the village. Luckily we are close to the dispensary and could rent 3 bikes from one of the helping-associations to get into the center. The house has 3 bedrooms, a real shower bathroom and a real (europeen) toilet, a kitchen with a fridge (probably the most important thing here) and a living room with tv and dvd-player! (the second most important thing here) and some pets: spiders, earwigs and lizards (the pigeons of africa, they are quite everywhere!) (well they eat the spiders, i hope)
In the first week we made a little advertisement in the villages different associations to offer our help. Finally we are 3 days of the week in the dispensary of the sisters of mother therese, one day teaching french and english in a small girls school, one morning cleaning wounds in another small dispensary, and in the evening teaching a bit informatics in the local cyber-cafe (this afternoon we are making a small announcement over the local radiostation...)
It is a nice atmosphere in the village, the people are friendly and everybody is greeting but not annoying.
There are still 35-39°C outside but the nights are quite refreshing.
